The Guelph Community Foundation is an organization formed to help good people do great things! In 2011, I volunteered with a wonderful friend and mentor, Pauline Curtis, as a Champion for the 2011 Random Act of Kindness Day. I continue to volunteer with this awesome organization as a RAK (Random Act of Kindess) champion in the church and retirement residence/LTC sectors. It's fun to see all the exciting things come together for RAK Day. Watch for future Random Act of Kindness days in Guelph
I love volunteering for The Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington. This is a great organization with wonderful programs supporting children in or community. Volunteering for them is very rewarding.
In November 2012 after three terms as a member of The Guelph Mercury Community Editorial Board - that's over six years of regular editorial publishing on the topic of my choice, I secured my own column - Boomers and Boomerangs. This is a bi-weekly editorial column, written from this Boomer's perspective. You can view past columns at the Guelph Mercury.
