Today, I received an email from my son's friend Claude. We had chatted recently about my desire to write a Grandma's Comfort Cookbook - stories from my childhood, supported by the wonderful recipes from my Grandma's cookbooks that I am blessed to own. Claude wrote to encourage me and sent a sample from a book he is currently reading to inspire me.
I was blown away by his insight and thoughtfulness. As an adult, I sometimes feel like I exert an exemplary amount of time and energy encouraging others. As a Christian, I know this is what I am called to do. That doesn't always make it easy. My tank is low on a regular basis.
Today, because of an email from a wonderful young man, my tank is full and I'm flying high. Thanks Claude for making my day!
